Jerusalem
Evan and I are reunited in Jerusalem. I just spent the past two hours copying some of my travel notes to the blog. I will provide an update on my bicycling adventure to the Sea of Galilee and down through the West Bank to Jerusalem soon. Evan is good. Jerusalem experienced another terrorist attack while we were biking and there is an elevated security alert that has everyone conversing. We will have a lot to talk about and information to blog to you soon. Michael

May the force be with you in the Holy Land. Good luck to Evan in his recuperation and God willing, may it be the only bit of bad luck you'll encounter. On balance, good fortune, especially the generosity of the people, has been on your side and that is good karma. I wonder how they've reacted when you've explained your mission. Do they think you're crazy? I wonder if Israelis and Palestinians share an aspiration to eventually reconcile and find peace or are they resigned to conflict as a matter of heritage? Do the Israelis want a solution as much as the Palestinians? Does either side want it at all?

Monk! I'm glad Evan is good - can't wait to read more, although this is an amazing start, I'm so glad you're writing this much and able to post. Looking forward to hearing from you and you finding adventures and solutions for peace there...
